- core business content (products / services, company introduction, sales support, sales / distirbution)
- site usability
This review of 150 to 200 criteria gives a good sense of the quality of the ‘core business’ of a commercial website and excludes the broader criteria areas of the Full Best Practices Assessment. Results for each criteria area are graphed against comparative business sites` results showing in an easy-to-read view the site`s relative strengths and weaknesses. Appropriate times for a Usability and Core Content Assessment are following a major redevelopment to check for anything missed or able to be improved or to support a business case for site investment which also helps understanding of priorities.

Mini Review
For businesses with smaller sites or with modest user volumes, we have created a low budget review that focuses on just the key possibilities in a summary report. It is not a criteria-based assessment like our others but is experience-based, highlighting 20 ‘low-hanging fruit’ opportunities for quick wins for your website’s evolution. This executive summary review is delivered in the form of a two to three page report.
The usual price of a Mini Review is $700 + gst..
Priorities & Advice Report
For those clients who are time-pressed or have a modest level of web expertise in-house, this advisory report prioritises issues found during a Full Assessment, Usability & Content Assessment, Structural Assessment or Extranet Assessment, describes the implications of each issue to users and suggests remedial action.
The prices and number of priority issues for a Priorities & Advice Report are;
| Assessment Type | Number of Priority Issues Described | Usual Priorities Report Pricing |
| Full Best Practices Assessment | 50 issues | $1,500 + gst |
| Usability & Content Assessment | 30 issues | $800 + gst |
| Structural Assessment | 30 issues | $800 + gst |
| Extranet Assessment | depends on site(s) | depends on site(s) |
Structural Assessment
During website redevelopment an assessment against structural elements allows time to remedy any problems while content is prepared for loading. The criteria we assess against are:
- site usability
- accessibility
We typically do this one once you have a home page and page templates in HTML and before content is loaded.
The usual price of a Structural Assessment is $1,200 + gst. The assessment can stand alone or be paired with a Priorities & Advice Report.
Extranet Assessment
Some companies have secure web spaces for different audiences such as key clients, distributors or suppliers that are important to get right which this tailored assessment helps you to do. The criteria and pricing are matched to the nature of the secure space(s) concerned and suggestions for optimisation or extension included. The assessment can stand alone or be paired with a Priorities & Advice Report.
Reassessment Following Redevelopment
If an organisation has made site changes following any of the assessment types and wishes to see these reflected in its rating, it may commission a revised assessment on only the changes made (at a fraction of the original price).
